Weeknotes 002
Non-eventful on weekdays, eventful on the weekend, that's a perfect week for me.
What I’ve been doing
One of my teammates is dealing with family emergency, so I’ve been covering part of her workload. It’s outside my usual tasks, involving lots of coordination, paperwork, and legal details. Challenging, but I picked up useful new knowledge along the way.
managed to use my treadmill five days in a row; rare! Even rarer, I did it right after waking up. What I've been doing: I piled up YouTube “watch later” videos and only allowed myself to watch them on the treadmill, first thing in the morning. Turns out, working out feels way easier that way.
My grandpa’s brother passed away yesterday. I’d already planned to meet a friend that day, so of course the schedule shifted. And, as usual with funerals (or weddings), family drama was inevitable. I came home stunned and speechless, but everything turned out fine… I guess?
The plan with my friend still happened. We finally met after more than a year and it was a proper catch-up! We ate at Hummingbird, wandered around Progo with its quaint little cafés, and just talked about life. Easily the highlight of my week.
What I need to take care of
Still no progress on the report. The plan isn’t finalized, so next week I need to continue last week’s agenda: • prep items for graduation week in October • decide deadlines for texts • set meetings with stakeholders for branding guide planning
Next, ironing. Ugh. I hate it, but I’m out of presentable clothes.
Grocery shopping + new meal plans. Last week was chaos, since I just cooked whatever was in the fridge and now I’m out of eggs. Yesterday was so packed I had no energy left after cleaning the house.
My siblings and I agreed we should do a family holiday. Maybe a night in a rented villa with a pool, BBQ, and photos. It’s been forever since we were all in one place. Probably 2024 was the last time.
My eyebrows desperately need threading. Critical situation.
So that’s a wrap on this week’s notes. Sunday is the perfect day to write, but I usually spend it being lazy. Honestly, writing this is also procrastination. My laundry is still waiting to be folded.
See you next week,
Mega
